Knuth's Literate Programming was published in 1992. There is a FAQ. There are various other websources, but I'm hesitant to link to them partly because it is hard to tell which materials give the best overview or are most up-to-date. Perhaps this is just the state of affairs of the field. Is there really no recent synthesis of the field? And in any case, what are good pointers?
